Texas based business, Accessology named American Small Business Champion

We are proud and honored to announce that Accessology Too, LLC, located in McKinney, Texas has been chosen as an American Small Business Champion by SCORE and Sam’s Club.

The American Small Business Championship (championship.score.org) awarded this title to 102 small businesses, two in every state and the District of Columbia, from among more than 1,500 applications. Each state winner will be awarded a $1,000 Sam’s Club gift card, an all-expense-paid trip to a training and networking event in Dallas, TX, SCORE mentoring and publicity throughout the year. Each Champion is also eligible for one of three $25,000 grand prizes.

SCORE, which has helped more than 10 million aspiring entrepreneurs through education and mentorship, selected Accessology because of the organization’s dedication to the success of their businesses. Accessology works across the United States to educate, train, and assist municipalities as well as private businesses in compliance under the Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA.

Kristi Avalos president/CEO, Accessology Too, Inc.

Kristi Avalos, CEO and founder of Accessology said she was honored to have been selected for this prestigious award. Avalos, who founded the organization in November 1990, said she began the business so she could remove barriers for people with disabilities.

“When we began our business in 1990, our dream was to help remove barriers for people with disabilities.

Since their founding, Avalos has successfully led Accessology in work on numerous multi-million dollar projects in providing accessibility compliance during all stages.

But, the work is far from complete.

Avalos and her dedicated team offer their knowledge and expertise through training, education and more.

“We hope to serve the community by using our niche knowledge of ADA and other Access laws to help towns, cities, counties, State agencies, school districts and Universities come into compliance without wasting money in unnecessary areas. We want to ensure every dollar spent on accessibility counts.”

Avalos said that because of the generosity of SCORE and Sam’s club, Accessology will receive access to SCORE’S amazing mentoring, training and publicity throughout the year.

“The prizes, training, publicity and SCORE mentoring we have been awarded will help us take our business to the next level, and better serve you, our customers. We look forward to attending the training event in Dallas, Texas, and will be sure to check back in and let you know how it goes.”
